Crossing the Rubicon: The potential consequences of Assisted Dying legislation in Scotland.

I believe that far from being on the right lines, conceding that healthcare professionals ought in some circumstances to facilitate or procure the death of a patient as their primary intention, crosses a red line. That red line has existed for millennia and is there for good reasons.

25 years since devolution – space to think

The Scottish political scene has developed over the last 25 years since devolution, but is still, in many ways, young. We have a strong third sector and well established Parliament, but not many avenues for public debate or think tanks providing critical friendship to Governments and political parties. The Mercat Cross, along with Logos Scotland is seeking to provide that space where Christians can come together, discuss, be challenged, learn and engage.
